What is Microblading?

Microblading is the artistic technique of tattooing individual hair strokes with a handheld tool called a microblade. Unlike traditional tattooing, which use a machine, microblading artists hand draw each hair to match the color and coarseness of your eyebrows. The result? Gorgeous, natural looking eyebrows.
How long does it last?

Microbladed eyebrows last 1 to 2 years for most people, before it usually needs a touch up. For permanent lips and eyeliner, it lasts 3 to 5 years.

Does it hurt?
Most clients report little or no pain! We use a topical anesthetic before the procedure to numb the affected area.
What is the price?
Price is given at the time of the complimentary consultation as each  individual is different.
How long is the appointment?
It usually takes 2 hours, with most of the time spent going over colors and drawing eyebrow shapes. The microblading or permanent makeup portion lasts 45 minutes to an hour.
How do I make an appointment?
Call us at 240-462-4113 or email us at souzan@studiobooseh.com.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
In the week before your appointment, we recommend avoiding blood thinners, aspirin, alcohol or using retinol creams.
How long does it take to heal?
You’ll be able to wear your new brows back to brunch! In the first 7 days, you’ll need to avoid getting them wet, working out or wearing brow makeup. Read more on Aftercare here. It takes about 30 days to completely heal, in which time you may experience mild scabbing. Eyeliner and lip service will be swollen for 2 days after treatment.
What is the aftercare?

Stay out of the sun and water while your microblading  or permanent makeup heals. Avoid chlorine, exfoliation creams, and sun exposure; they may cause your color to fade. We recommend applying a small amount of A&D ointment twice a day.

When should I get a touch up? How much is it?
We recommend  touch up between 4-8 weeks of your appointment with a small amount of fee.
Can I get microblading while pregnant?
No, we do not recommend microblading while pregnant or breastfeeding.
Who is ineligible for microblading?
We do not provide microblading for people: under 18 years old, pregnant or nursing, if you have diabetes, glaucoma, skin diseases such as Shingles, psoriasis or eczema on the area of treatment, allergies to makeup, Keloid disorder, HIV/Hepatitis, skin cancer, hemophilia, or if you’re taking skin medications like ro-accutaine and steroids. Please read our complete Terms and Conditions.
Can I get permanent makeup if I have Juvederm injections/fillers or Botox?
We recommend getting permanent makeup first.
Does microblading work on all skin tones and skin types?
Yes! Microblading works on all skin tones and colors. Check out our Instagram feed. If you suffer from Keloid disorder, we do not recommend microblading.
What is the difference between microblading vs. micropigmentation?
Technically microblading is a form of micropigmentation,  a microblade is a pen look a like tool that allows the technician to hand draw  individual hair strokes focusing more on the top layer of the skin(epidermis) or semi permanent. Micropigmentation/ permanent makeup specialist will use a rotary machine, which offers a deeper treatment (dermis) and longer lasting look .
Does it look like REAL HAIR?
Yes! Because we hand draw every hair stroke, you’ll marvel at this super precise technique.
No more drawing my eyebrows every morning? For real?
Believe it! This treatment transforms people’s lives!

Permanent eyeliner for lash enhancement is a procedure that beautifies the appearance of the eyes by implanting pigment between the lashes. The procedure not only results in the lashes appearing thicker, but the eyes look larger, becoming the focal point of the face. A permanent eyeliner tattoo can be subtle if done with a fine deposit of pigment in the lash line or with a medium width line to mimic liquid liner. It may also be bolder, even dramatic, or created using various widths that taper for a custom look. Micropigmentation 3D or High definition will give the natural look you are looking for.  The shape, size and color of eyebrows can be dramatically altered by a permanent pigment implantation procedure. It is the ideal procedure for men and women who desire thicker and fuller brows. The wonderful thing about eyebrow tattooing is that it can correct flawed eyebrows, shape brows that are not to your liking, make absent or hairless brow areas appear to have hair, and accentuate the eyes and face, and with little effort an eyebrow tattoo puts an end to having to draw on eyebrows each day. It’s also possible to sleep and work and swim and awaken or come out of the water with perfect eyebrows.   Eyebrow feathering is a permanent or semi permanent make up technique used to make hair-like strokes in the brow area. It is a method for constructing natural-looking eyebrows, although it utilizes the same equipment and technology used in the older versions of eyebrow tattoo procedures which primarily formed solid lines to replaced brow hair, albeit rather poorly. Eyebrow feathering was the term first used for this micro pigmentation procedure, however it’s now commonly called a defined hair-stroke technique. It’s been adapted to provide both highly defined hairs to structure a brow that may have almost no hair and/or to fill gaps between natural hairs and create the illusion of texture and depth.

A wide range of options is possible with lip enhancement, from subtle lip liners, to full lip coverage, including alteration of the shape of the lips. Color options range from natural to dark or bright shades. This procedure is especially effective to obtain either a fuller or thinner appearance of the lips, and gives uneven lips a symmetrical look.
